The Hole Story
Hole 13
A dogleg-left par 4 that rewards precision and course management, Hole 13 demands a well-placed tee shot to set up success. A long drive up the right side of the fairway provides the best angle into the green, while shorter tee shots may require a layup near the ESA area, leaving roughly 105 yards to the middle of the green.
The approach plays slightly uphill to a tucked green with a false front extending five paces, which can easily pull short shots back into the fairway. To score well, players must carry the false front and control spin on the elevated surface.
Framed by evergreens and surrounded by natural contours, this hole is as strategic as it is scenic—rewarding smart placement and confident execution from start to finish.
Naming the Hole

White Flowering Dogwood
(Cornus florida)
The White Flowering Dogwood is a beloved deciduous tree native to eastern North America, admired for its graceful form and striking year-round appeal. In early spring, clusters of small yellow-green flowers are surrounded by four large, showy white bracts—each delicately notched at the tip—creating the illusion of a single, brilliant bloom.
Its elliptic to ovate leaves emerge a rich green before transforming to deep red and purple hues in fall, while bright red drupes ripen in late summer, providing food for birds and wildlife. Mature trees develop gray-brown bark with a distinctive checkered texture, adding visual interest even through the winter months.
Reaching 15 to 30 feet tall and wide, the White Flowering Dogwood begins with a pyramidal shape that softens into a rounded, spreading canopy as it matures. It offers four seasons of beauty—symbolizing renewal in spring, vibrance in summer, color in fall, and character in winter—making it a fitting companion to the natural elegance of Hole 13.
