The Hole Story
A straight drive is a must here, there is a large pine guarding the left entry to the fairway. Your approach shot is to an uphill green sloping back to front with a narrow entry. Bunkers surround this uniquely shaped green, right, left and behind.
Naming the Hole
Sitka sedge (Carex aquatilis) is an evergreen perennial that can grow to 3 ft 3 in (1 m) by 5 ft (1.5 m). It has leaves all year, flowers in July, and seeds ripen from July to August. The plant is monoecious, meaning individual flowers are either male or female, but both sexes can be found on the same plant. It is pollinated by wind and can grow in light, medium, and heavy soils, as well as in mildly acid, neutral, and basic soils. It can grow in semi-shade or no shade, but prefers moist or wet soil. These sedges are in the wetlands to the left of fairway 12.
