The Hole Story
Hole 11 – Double White Cherry Blossom
A long par 5 that often plays into the prevailing wind, Hole 11 rewards both power and patience. From the white tees, a drive of at least 230 yards is needed to clear the drainage ditch that cuts across the fairway—making accuracy and trajectory key to setting up a strong position for your second shot.
The fairway rises gently and contours through a corridor of trees, rewarding placement and control. A well-executed layup provides the best look into the smaller, elevated green, which is guarded by a front-right bunker. Any miss to either side will leave a tricky uphill chip back toward the pin.
Lining the fairway and framing the green, Double White Cherry Blossom trees bring a sense of calm and grace to this demanding hole. In spring, their snow-white blooms transform the approach into one of the most picturesque scenes on the course—a serene finish to a hole that challenges both skill and strategy.
Naming the Hole

Mt. Fuji White Cherry
(Prunus serrulata ‘Mt. Fuji’*)
The Mt. Fuji White Cherry is a graceful, compact flowering cherry that embodies quiet beauty and balance. This small deciduous tree, growing 12–15 feet tall and up to 20 feet wide, is distinguished by its semi-double white blossoms that emerge in abundant clusters each spring. The flowers contrast beautifully against the tree’s bronze-tinged new foliage, creating a luminous, cascading effect that evokes snow tumbling down a mountain slope.
As the season progresses, the pale green leaves deepen in tone before transforming into brilliant orange and red hues in autumn, giving the tree multi-season appeal. Its delicate fragrance and elegant shape make it a favorite among ornamental cherries.
You’ll find Mt. Fuji White Cherry trees lining Hole 11 on the left, back, and right sides, where their soft white blooms frame the fairway and green—adding serenity and seasonal color to this long, windswept par 5.
