The Hole Story
Hole 10 – Pink Flowering Dogwood
This short par 4 rewards thoughtful play and precision over distance. A well-placed tee shot up the right side of the fairway opens a clear approach to the green, while anything pulled left risks a more obstructed angle.
A small front-left bunker guards the green, demanding careful club selection and accuracy on the approach. The green itself is receptive but subtly contoured, inviting confident but controlled putting.
Framing the hole are graceful Pink Flowering Dogwood trees, which line the right side and back of the green. In spring, their soft pink blossoms provide one of the most beautiful backdrops on the course, making Hole 10 both a visual highlight and a satisfying test of placement and touch.
Naming the Hole

Pink Flowering Dogwood
(Cornus florida var. rubra)
The Pink Flowering Dogwood is a graceful deciduous tree celebrated for its stunning spring display of rosy-pink blossoms. A member of the Cornaceae family, it typically grows 15–30 feet tall, forming a soft, rounded canopy that adds elegance and structure to the landscape.
In spring, clusters of tiny yellow-green flowers are surrounded by four large pink bracts, often mistaken for petals, creating the dogwood’s signature look. Through summer, dark green, ovate leaves fill the branches, turning rich reddish-purple in fall for a brilliant seasonal finale. Its gray-brown, scaly bark provides winter texture, while bright red berries in late summer attract songbirds and wildlife.
A true four-season tree, the Pink Flowering Dogwood offers color, contrast, and character year-round—an enduring symbol of beauty and balance along the right and back edges of Hole 10’s green.
