The Hole Story
Straight away par 4, playing to a slightly elevated green. Longer hitters may be able to clear the creek. Beware of the 2 grass bunkers guarding the front side of the creek. Bunkers also guard the front left, right and back of this small green.
Naming the Hole
Big Blue Hydrangea, also known as Nikko Blue, is a hortensia macrophylla type or bigleaf hydrangea. It is Oregon Coastal Flower’s calling card as a premier variety of hydrangea sold as a cut flower. Our most famous sale was used for President Barack Obama’s inaugural party.
The Nikko Blue hydrangea prefers full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained, fertile, acidic soil. In hot climates, hydrangeas will do best with some shade. If you have alkaline soil, you should amend your soil to maintain the deep blue color.
