The Mook at Alderbrook Golf Policies 2026-2027

BOOKING TEE TIMES

Standard tee times may be booked up to 14 days in advance by members and 7 days in advance by the public. A full name, email, and phone number are required to hold all reservations. All reservations are subject to the cancellation/no-show policy described below.

Reservations made more than 30 days in advance must be paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable. Please call the Pro Shop to book outside of the standard 14-day window.

BOOKING GROUP/EVENT TEE TIMES

For tournaments, group outings, and other events, please email go**@*****ok.com to secure your date on our calendar. A full name, email, phone number, and valid credit card are required to hold all reservations. A final player count/guarantee is due 72 hours before the event day unless specified otherwise in the event contract.

CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY

Non-Member Cancellation Policy

Late Arrivals: Players who arrive late for their scheduled tee time may be turned away. The Mook staff will do their best to accommodate players who arrive late, but we cannot guarantee a tee time will be available.

  • Cancellations: Cancellations can be made in person or by phone at (971) 289-GOLF. You may cancel your tee times online if it is more than 24 hours in advance.

Member Cancellation Policy

If a member does not cancel a tee time at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time, or books for more players than actually show up (e.g., booking a foursome but arriving with only 2 players), the schedule below will be enforced. If a member continues to violate the policy, additional privileges may be removed, including the loss of playing privileges.

  • 1st Violation: Warning.

  • 2nd Violation: Loss of tee time booking privileges for 10 days. (During this time, you may only book 7 days in advance).

  • 3rd Violation: Loss of tee time booking privileges for one month. (During this time, you may only book 1 day in advance).

  • 4th Violation: Additional privileges reduced.

RAIN CHECKS

Inclement weather is a normal occurrence on the Oregon Coast. No refunds or rain checks will be given for rain, wind, cold temperatures, or other normal weather events. Exceptions may be permitted if the weather becomes dangerous (e.g., lightning) or hazardous (e.g., poor air quality).

A rain check will not be given for playing fewer holes than paid for reasons other than dangerous playing conditions (e.g., a golfer pays for 18 holes but chooses to stop early).

CHECKING IN

All golfers are required to check in at least 15 minutes prior to their assigned tee time. This helps ensure that proper attire is worn and that all golfers in the group are paid for and accounted for on the tee sheet.

  • Any group not on the tee and ready to play on time will lose its tee time.

  • If you are late or have fewer than the original reserved number of players, you are subject to loss of tee time and placement on the standby list. Groups may avoid displacement by paying for the balance of the reserved group in advance.

  • The Pro Shop and Starter have the authority to maintain order on the course regarding both members and the public.

  • Singles and Twosomes: Should not expect to play through foursomes and should not exert any pressure on the groups ahead.

  • Equipment: All players must have their own bag and set of clubs. Need to rent clubs? Ask for details at the Pro Shop, or call (971) 289-4653 to reserve equipment in advance.

  • Starting Hole: All play is to begin on the #1 tee unless instructed otherwise by Pro Shop personnel or the Starter.

GOLF CART POLICY

Public

Electric golf carts may be reserved in advance during the reservation process. To operate an electric golf cart, golfers must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

  • Ride-alongs are permitted for an additional fee based on golf cart availability (at the Pro Shop’s sole discretion).

  • Golf carts are for the use of golfers only and are not to be taken off the golf course property for any reason.

  • A reservation does not guarantee the availability of a cart, though the course will do its best to ensure availability.

Single Rider Fees & Examples:

  • If you choose to ride alone and do not want anyone else to ride with you, you will be charged the full cart fee.

  • If you are willing to ride with another person but no one in your group is riding, you will not be charged the full cart rate.

  • If you are playing with a foursome and only 3 players are riding, the single rider would not be charged the full cart rate.

  • If 2 players are riding in a group and they do not wish to ride with each other, both players will be charged the full cart rate.

  • Limit: No more than 2 power carts per hole.

Members

Cart membership does not entitle the member to a single-rider cart. Upon the direction of the Pro Shop staff, members must share carts. Cart membership pays for a seat in a cart, not the whole cart.

Private Golf Carts

Private golf carts are permitted on the golf course with approval by the Pro Shop (based on golf cart appearance). If approved, a trail fee must be paid to the Pro Shop before the start of the round. Private golf carts are subject to the same on-course and off-course restrictions as The Mook’s fleet of golf carts.

USGA RULES & ETIQUETTE

USGA rules of golf govern play.

Some local rules are accepted to promote good golf practices. Rules and regulations for conduct are posted on signs near the first tee.

  • Course Care: Replace divots, repair ball marks on greens, and rake all bunkers.

  • Pace: Keep up with the group in front of you. Golfers making the turn who decide to eat will lose their position on the golf course.

  • Group Size: No more than 4 players per group (no fivesomes allowed). Players may be grouped together to form foursomes.

  • Routing: Play holes in natural sequence; no cutting across.

  • Carts:

    • No carts allowed on any Par 3s.

    • Only two players per cart.

    • Obey all cart signs and markings throughout the course.

    • Keep push carts and bags off tee boxes.

    • Stay on cart paths within reason, especially around tee boxes and greens.

    • Make sure golf carts are at least 60 feet away from greens at all times.

  • Conduct: Harassing or verbally abusing other golfers, golf staff, or restaurant staff will not be tolerated.

  • Coolers: Coolers are not permitted at any time.

  • Liability: Players are responsible for any injury to people or damage to property caused by their actions.

PACE OF PLAY POLICY

All groups are expected to maintain a pace of play of 4 hours and 30 minutes (2:15 for 9 holes) or less.

  • Groups not maintaining this pace and losing position with the group immediately in front of them may be required to pick up and resume their original position.

  • Groups unable to maintain pace after being moved up will forfeit the balance of their round.

  • It is the responsibility of each individual and group to maintain this pace. No refunds or rain checks will be issued for holes missed when a group is required to skip ahead.

  • Playing Through: Wave faster players through only when the golf course is not busy. If the course is busy, maintain your position with the group in front of you. Staff will govern the speed of play.

The Mook at Alderbrook promotes ‘Ready Golf’:

  • Choose the correct set of tees based on playing ability.

  • Be ready to play when it’s your turn; take multiple clubs when walking to your ball.

  • Read your putt prior to your turn; do not wait to finish tap-ins.

  • If your group falls out of position, you will have 2 holes to catch up.

  • If your group remains more than 1 hole out of position after the 2-hole warning, your group may be asked to skip a hole.

DRESS CODE

Attire: Collared shirts are recommended. Traditional length golf shorts or long slacks/pants are required. Denim is strongly discouraged. Appropriate golf attire is strongly recommended.

  • Footwear: Only golf shoes or spike-less shoes are allowed. No cowboy boots or work boots. The Mook at Alderbrook is a soft-spike facility.

  • Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times while on the premises.

ADDITIONAL RULES & LOCAL RULES

Foursomes: During busy times, the Staff will assign foursomes at their discretion.

  • Children:

    • Children ages 8 to 14 may play with proper supervision (as determined by the Pro Shop).

    • Children under the age of 8 and non-playing children are not permitted on the course during peak times.

    • Children on the course are at the sole discretion of the Pro Shop.

  • Pets: Pets are NOT allowed. Exception: Service Animals are allowed.

  • Alcohol: NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL is allowed on the course. Thank you for supporting the golf course by purchasing onsite.

  • Code of Conduct: The staff may remove a golfer or group for obnoxious/offensive behavior, gross intoxication, abusing/damaging the course, hitting into golfers ahead, unsafe practices, or refusing to let faster groups play through. Golfers removed from the course forfeit any fees paid.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE COURSE RULES MAY RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE GOLF COURSE WITHOUT REFUND.
