Design Contest Winner:
We greatly appreciate all the great design ideas submitted. We had over 25 designs submitted and we leaned something from nearly all of them. We took a lot of time to review them thoroughly. The Mook at Alderbrook is a community effort and we need all of you to be involved to make this venture successful.
The most important elements of this design:
- Adds a par 5 and maintains another.
- We only have to construct 1 new green.
- Play can continue until all elements are constructed and one day we flip a switch to the new layout.
- Adds a creative par 3 with a green surrounded by water on 3 sides (final tee location, green location, water size, etc. yet to be determined).
- Water is in play for all 3 holes.
- Adds intrigue and also one of the lease expensive designs to execute.
Other Notes:
- Execution of this design may take 1-3 years.
- We will add length and make improvements to other areas of the course as well to make The Mook a legitimate par 72 course.
